Cape Verde 12 April

Today we had Albi and Freddy the first day on Smoker. We fished in the south of Mindelo in the deep water and went 1 for 2. Donna Pi also was out and went 1 for 1.

Cape Verde 10 April

The last 3 days we were fishing with Kaj, Mika, Seppo and Tom from Finnland. We decided to do a trip to
the neighbor island of San Nicolau.
Day 1 we raised one Blue on our trip to San Vicente. We arrived at 1500 fished for anothe 2 hours and went 2 for 4 and raised 2 more
Day 2 we went 5 for 11 and raised 3 more
Day 3 we raised 2 in the morning and pulled the hook on one later on our way back to Mindelo.
The guys are very happy with their 7 Blues caught on Stand up. For Seppo and Kaj it was their first Blue Marlin ever.

Cape Verde 07 April

A good day for SMOKER . We went 3 for 4 on Blue Marlin and raised 2 more on the teaser which never bit the pitch bait.
One boat had a 750 lb Blue, the weather is beautiful so we are looking forward to get out tomorrow.

Cape Verde 05 April

Today we went to the north, water is looking great but there is not much bait. We still went 1 for 3 and raised another Blue on the Teaser which did not take the pitch bait. In between 6 boats 12 Blues have been seen.

Cape Verde 04. April

Today was SMOKERs first day . We are fishing with Jens and Karl from Germany and released one Blue Marlin. There is not much bait around and the fishing was very slow for the whole fleet the last 3 days , but I am sure it will change soon and we will see a good Blue Marlin bite soon.

ASC 22 March

The first half of the season has finished now. Harmattans crew and anglers had good fishing during the last 2 month. The average size of the Blue Marlin was  over 500 lb!! They caught 2 fish of over 900 lb and hooked a few more in that size range.
Apart from the Blues the bycatch was as usual, Tuna, Dorados, Wahoo and Jacks.
End of october to mid of december HARMATTAN is in action again.

Cape Verde 19 March

The season has started very early . One boat has fished 10 days and has caught 17 Blues so far!
Cant wait to start fishing the 3d of april.
